Dig Dig Diglett

I have been playing a lot of Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu. And to celebrate the announcement of the newest main series game, I thought I’d do a Pokemon themed wearable makeup look.

One of the cutest accessory available in the Let’s go series was the Diglett hat.

I wanted this look to channel a Diglett, but not wearable unless I was going to a convention. Diglett is a great Pokemon to based this on because the colour palette is very wearable!

(Apologies for my outfit… I’m wearing my work polo because why not 😂)

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Cancer

I used Cornelius as a base colour for my eye lids, and Pretty Lucky in the crease. Then I applied Wish List in the hooded part of my lids for the pop of colour (just like Diglett’s nose!)

For the inner corners I applied a bit of Telepathy to give it a bit more dimension to the look.

For my face, I used the Fenty Beauty Match stix in Yacht Lyfe for a glowing pink blush, then blended out with a beauty blender to get an even look. I then applied some setting powder.

Using my fingers, I dabbed a bit of the Super Shock Cheek in Fire over my cheek bones, the cupid bow on my lips.

I used a neutral pink lip liner (Bite Beauty’s lip pencil in #34) to line my lips and filled the rest of my lips lightly. I used bite beauty’s Amuse Bouche in Cancer all over the lips.

I find that if I don’t line my lips prior to applying brown or lighter lip colours with my skin tone, my lips end up being really washed out and it just doesn’t look very nice.

Here is the finished look again.

Purple! Aubergine! Kohlrabi!

Today’s look is inspired by my favourite colour. I recently got my hands on Bite Beauty’s liquefied lipsticks during their 50% off sale (I think they are still on!)

Lips

Bite beauty liquefied lipstick in Kohlrabi

I put pretty cruel all over the lids, and sleeper on the crease. Then over the hooded lids part with Issa, and applied Do or Dough on the centre part of the lids for highlight.

I then applied Do or Dough on the bottom lash and then Mr.Sandman on the inner corners.

Colourpop X Kathleen Lights – Where the light is

I love the colours that Kathleen Lights collections have, they are always very wearable and flattering.

This time, I have the “Where the light is” set of Super Shock Shadow Foursome. It contains the colours Glow, Cornelious, Kathleen Lights and Blaze.

I like that this set has a mix of matte, metallic and glitter finishes so it is easily used together in a look.

The formula is cool to touch and a bit bouncy, which is expected from this type of shadow. All four shadows has the typical 2.1g or 0.07oz of product.

Does it give you joy? Yes it does! Colourpop Super Shock Shadow – Double Rainbow Set

Colourpop Double Rainbow is a Limited Edition set of Super Shock Shadows.

They come in a twist top jar with a cool, creamy, bouncy consistency.

They are 2.1g or 0.07oz each.

In this set, they have 5 ultra-glitter finishes and 1 ultra-metallic finish.

I have oily hooded lids, but I find they can last more than 8 hours on me if I have eye shadow primer on. Without primer, they last a couple of hours, which is expected with my lids.
